Paris looks for inspiration

Paris is always changing and reinventing itself. Is this also through contact with art? “Little Lessons of the City” is a cycle of conferences aimed at questioning the way we use the city by exploring deliberately destabilising ideas from contemporary artists.

Organised on one Thursday a month until June 2014 by the Architecture, Urban Development and Environment Council in Paris, these conferences tackle, through theory and practical examples, different aspects of the theme “Cities – Art and Collective Imagination”. The first conference on 6 February will discuss “Art Makes Cities’ with geographer and journalist Sylvie Andreu.
